Lovely - I was woken up by hail pounding at my window, and fully expected an arctic white-out, given last night's "we're all gonna die" forecasts...

It's cold today, that much is beyond doubt, but the snow we've had since before Christmas is actually thawing, when the rest of the country is apparently buried under snow.
